Winter Freeze Warning

Due to upcoming colder temperatures next week, we are strongly encouraging all residents and businesses in and around Blanco to winterize your homes and businesses.
Please follow the freeze warning tips below:
General:
- Keep sink cabinet doors open
- Cover outdoor water faucets
- Turn off sprinkler system
- Disconnect all outside water hoses
- Insulate pipes that are located in cold, drafty places inside the home.
- Keep the heat in your home at a minimum of 55 degrees Fahrenheit
- Close garage doors
- Bring outside pets inside
Water Meter:
- Place thick fabric or carpet over water meter
- DO NOT Put anything inside water meter
- DO NOT use any heating devices to thaw a water meter
- Cover exposed pipes with blankets or towels
