City of Blanco

May 4, 2024  General Election

The City of Blanco, a Type A General Law Municipality, conducts elections for Mayor and City Council Members the first Saturday of May each year. The Mayor and Council Members are elected at-large. The May 4, 2024 General Election will be for Three Council Members.  The City of Blanco has contracted with Blanco County to conduct the general election.

Requirements for Elected Office

Applications for Place on the Ballot for the May 4, 2024 General Election may be filed with the City Secretary beginning Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at 8:00 a.m. and through Friday, February 16, 2024, 5:00 p.m (SHARP). at City Hall (300 Pecan Street – Blanco, Texas 78606), or by mail to P.O. Box 750 – Blanco, Texas  78606.  Applications can be downloaded from the Relevant Documents listed below. Requirements for Elected Office can be found at the following link  Candidate Eligibility Requirements and applicants not meeting requirements will be notified.

Candidate Filings & Campaign Finance Report Filings

The City Secretary's Office is responsible for receiving and providing access to Campaign Finance Reports and data filed by local candidates, officeholders, and political action committees as required by the Texas Ethics Commission, including filing requirements, forms and templates, and a complete list of finance reports.  See Relevant Documents, Texas Ethics Commission below for access to each report.
