Planning & Zoning Commission
The Planning and Zoning Commission has the powers and duties of a Planning and Zoning Commission in accordance with Texas Local Government Code Section 211.007 and Section 371.042, provided, however, that it serves only in an advisory capacity to the City Council.
The Planning and Zoning Commission's authority extends to and includes review and recommendation of the following:
- Comprehensive Plan Amendment
- Unified Development Code Text Amendment
- Zoning Map Amendment
- Historic District Designation
- Special Use Permit
- Concept Plan
- Preliminary Plat
- Final Plat
- Development Agreement
- Variance Request
- Dedication of land and community facilities

Meeting Times
1st Monday of every month in the Byars Building (308 Pecan Street) at 6:00 p.m. Agendas are posted online and at City Hall 72 hours before meetings.
